Information We Collect

• Academic profile data including GPA, test scores, class rank, AP and IB courses, intended major, application round, and state of residence

• Extracurricular activity descriptions and activity text if submitted

• Your account email and display name

• Your saved college list and any application outcomes you record

• Basic usage analytics such as pages visited and features used

• Payment information through Stripe, our third-party payment processor (ChanceMe does not store credit card numbers or full payment details)

How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalized college admission probability estimates

• Evaluate your college list balance and portfolio health

• Provide AI-generated strategy recommendations when you use the Strategize feature

• Save your profile and college list across sessions

• Process subscription payments

• Improve platform accuracy and performance over time

ChanceMe does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

AI Processing

The Strategize feature sends your academic profile, extracurricular descriptions, and activity text to an AI model for processing on your behalf. This processing occurs only when you click "Get My Strategy." Your data is not used to train AI models and is not shared with other users.

Care Team Messages

• Care team messages are handled by real human staff, not artificial intelligence

• Message content is reviewed by ChanceMe staff to provide personalized support

• Messages are stored securely and are private between you and the ChanceMe care team

• You can request deletion of your care team message history at any time by contacting support

Cookies and Analytics

ChanceMe uses essential cookies to maintain your login session. We may use basic analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies or sell behavioral data to advertisers.

Third-Party Processors

ChanceMe is built on Base44 (base44.com), which provides our database, authentication, and backend infrastructure. Your data is stored in Base44's secure U.S.-based cloud infrastructure. Base44 acts as a data processor and does not sell your data or use it outside of platform operations. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Both processors maintain their own privacy and security standards.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your data at any time through your profile settings. You may delete your activity text by clearing the relevant fields on the Strategize page. To request full account deletion, contact us at chancemeservices@gmail.com. Users in the European Economic Area have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing. California residents have rights under CCPA including the right to know what data we collect and to request deletion.

Children's Privacy

ChanceMe is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards including encrypted data storage and secure HTTPS connections. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date. Continued use of ChanceMe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
