Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChanceMe, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use ChanceMe. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.

Informational Use Only

AI-Generated Content

The Strategize feature uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized feedback based on your profile, activity descriptions, and college list. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only. It may contain errors, omissions, or recommendations that are not suited to your individual situation. This content does not constitute professional college counseling, academic advising, or licensed professional guidance of any kind.

No Professional Advice

ChanceMe provides automated, data-driven insights for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes professional admissions counseling, legal advice, financial advice, or any other licensed professional guidance. You should not rely solely on ChanceMe outputs when making college application decisions. We strongly encourage you to consult with school counselors and other qualified advisors.

Subscription and Payments

ChanceMe offers two Pro billing options: a monthly plan at $8.09 per month, and a 4-month plan at $25.00 (billed once every 4 months). Both plans include full Pro access. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Pro access until that date. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. ChanceMe does not store payment card information.

Refunds are issued at our discretion. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at chancemeservices@gmail.com within 7 days of the charge.

Care Team

• The Care Team feature is available to paid members (Advantage and Complete tiers)

• Care team responses are provided by real human staff, not automated AI systems

• ChanceMe does not guarantee specific response times for care team messages

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter into ChanceMe. You agree not to use ChanceMe for any unlawful purpose, submit false or misleading information, attempt to reverse-engineer or copy any part of the platform, or interfere with the platform's operation or security.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and functionality on ChanceMe is the property of ChanceMe and its creators. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

Refund Policy

We offer a limited refund policy for paid subscriptions. You may request a full refund of your subscription payment within seven (7) days of the initial purchase date, provided that you have not yet initiated or completed any strategy analysis during your subscription period. Once a strategy analysis has been initiated, executed, or otherwise run on your account, the refund window shall be considered closed and no refund shall be issued, regardless of the seven-day period.

To request a refund, you must contact us at chancemeservices@gmail.com with your account email and subscription details. Approved refunds will be processed within five to ten (5-10) business days to the original payment method.

This refund policy applies only to your first subscription purchase. Subsequent subscription purchases, renewals, or re-subscriptions are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to all features included in your subscription tier until the end of your current billing period. Upon expiration of the current billing period, your account will automatically revert to the Free tier, and access to paid features will be removed.

Cancellation of your subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Refunds are governed solely by the Refund Policy section above.

If you cancel your subscription and later wish to re-subscribe, you will be charged the then-current subscription rate at the time of re-subscription.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate your subscription in accordance with the other provisions of these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChanceMe and its creators, officers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to college admissions outcomes, decisions made based on platform outputs, or data loss. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the platform is to stop using it. In no event shall ChanceMe's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for a subscription in the three months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ChanceMe is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ChanceMe shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at chancemeservices@gmail.com to attempt informal resolution. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days of notice.

Modifications

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated by posting updated Terms with a new effective date. Continued use of ChanceMe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
